Hoof Prints In The Sand

1940’s Light Horse

Drawing inspiration from the local 1940’s Light Horse encampment in Torquay, the projection by Photographic Artist Rebecca Hosking “Hoofprints in the Sand” commemorates the Anzac Centenary this year.

Artistically combining recreated footage with original newspaper articles and photos, “Hoofprints in the Sand” honours this important time in our local history, of the largest Light Horse training camp in Australia, of 5000 men and 2000 horses.
Original newspaper files are creatively weaved with current photo and video work to honour this important time in our local history, of the largest Light Horse training camp in Australia, of 5000 men and 2000 horses, in an entertaining and engaging form.
